Outback Astronomy Announcements

Outback Astronomy, only 28 months young as a tourism enterprise, has won gold in our regional tourism awards.

The Regional New South Wales Tourism Awards 2016 includes most of our state (excludes Sydney, east coast).

The awards were announced at a function in Echuca-Moama on the Murray River in the South East of the state on 23 July 2016.

We entered Outback Astronomy in the category “specialised tourism tourism”. In tourism speak this is a category for non-accommodation businesses. It can cover everything from a zoo to an amusement park.

Last year we entered the regional awards for the first time, while 14 months young. We won a bronze placing. This year, to win the gold is simply amazing.

Thank you to all people who have supported Outback Astronomy. Your feedback and ideas encourages us to improve our sky show experiences.

It inspires our growth and development. Last year, for example, we operated out of a shipping container. This year, we have a building with water and electricity!

Thank you and please keep supporting us!
