Sky Dome Cafe

We built the Sky Dome Café next to our open air sky dome to serve dinner and snacks.

The café also serves our guests during the day for casual dining and takeaways.

The indoor area of our café is located in our main building.

We have tables and chairs available for casual dining or astronomy events including Sun Viewing. We can set up chairs in a theatre style for presentations.

The “theatrette” which we are yet to officially name was refurbished during 2019. Air-conditioning was installed and it received a fresh coat of many paint colours, reflecting the changing shades and colours of the sky. When combined with other airconditioned indoor areas, we can accommodate seated groups of 60 to 70 persons.

The outdoor area of our café includes two sections. At the front of our premises, on our highway frontage, we can arrange tables and chairs for your morning coffee. However, it is the back verandah area which boasts lovely views of the outback that surrounds us. Casual diners can soak in the views of the hills, wildlife and our sky dome too.

During cool months a firepit on the verandah can provide warmth.

On beautiful clear, still cool days, we plan to serve food and beverages on the sky dome verandah. Again, a firepit on this verandah will provide warmth and you gaze out over the hills in the east.

Our opening hours for the time being will depend upon the lunar cycle. Yes, we are ruled by the Moon. We will review opening hours and provide more information on the other side of COVID-19.

The current Sky Dome Café menu options are available to view at this link, www.skydomecafe.com.au and also on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/SkyDomeCafe.
